“with an increase in intensity and frequency of emergency events, increases in numbers of displaced people, and urban development in vulnerable areas, I am passionate about advocating for and amplifying the voices of vulnerable communities in disaster risk reduction programmes and activities. I am particularly focused on involving children in human settlement development, and amplifying their voices in planning and design processes in vulnerable settlements - with particular focus on post-disaster reconstruction, displaced people settlements, informal settlements and settlements most impacted by climate change.”
